Quick! Everybody hide! The jungle is buzzing with the news that Big Bro is coming! One by one, the animals rush to safety as they imagine someone enormous and frightening. But when Big Bro finally appears, children discover a funny surprise that reminds us not to judge by appearances.

Create a Big or Small Jungle Adventure using toy animals, loose parts or felt pieces.

Invite children to sort the animals from smallest to largest before hiding them throughout the learning environment. Encourage children to search for each animal, describing clues about its size, colour and features before making a prediction about who they might find next.

Extend the experience further by introducing mystery footprints of different sizes around the room. Invite children to become jungle detectives, following the tracks, making predictions about which animal they belong to and discovering that the biggest footprints don't always lead to the biggest surprise!
