The Wheels on the Bus

All aboard! Join the cheerful bus as it travels through the town, carrying happy passengers on an exciting adventure. Through singing, actions and repetition, children are encouraged to move, listen, imagine and discover the many people and experiences that make every journey special.

Kirrily Koala encourages us to Be Present and Have an Awareness, noticing the different people on the bus, listening to the sounds around us and observing everything happening throughout the journey.

Elky Elephant helps us Be Ready and Engage, joining in the actions, remembering the sequence of the song and participating with confidence through movement, music and imaginative play.

Pikkle Panda reminds us to Be Mindful and Thoughtful, encouraging children to be kind passengers by taking turns, using gentle manners and helping everyone enjoy the journey together.

Through this joyful sing-along adventure, children discover that travelling together, listening carefully and making thoughtful choices help create happy experiences for everyone—just like the Kind-e-play Friends.

Create a Kind-e-play Bus Adventure using chairs arranged in rows to become a pretend bus.

Invite children to take on different roles such as the bus driver, passengers or ticket collector, encouraging them to sing the song while acting out the different verses.

Extend the experience further by adding bus stops around the learning environment.

Encourage children to decide where the bus will travel, who might get on or off and how passengers can use kind words, wait patiently and help one another throughout the journey.
