Bounce, jump and soar as a cheerful little hippopotamus discovers just how high she can go! With each page, children are encouraged to predict what will happen next before enjoying a playful lift-the-flap surprise at the end.

Kirrily Koala encourages us to Be Present and Have an Awareness, noticing each bounce, observing what changes and looking carefully for clues before lifting the flap.

Elky Elephant helps us Be Ready and Engage, joining in the repeated actions, making predictions and exploring how our bodies can stretch, jump and move in different ways.

Pikkle Panda reminds us to Be Mindful and Thoughtful, encouraging children to celebrate everyone's efforts, cheer on their friends and enjoy learning together through movement and play.

Through this joyful bouncing adventure, children discover that curiosity, perseverance and celebrating one another make every new challenge exciting, just like the Kind-e-play Friends.

Extend the learning...

Create a Higher and Higher Movement Challenge using stepping stones, cushions, hoops, low balance beams or jumping spots placed around the learning environment.

Invite children to move through the course by jumping, stretching, tiptoeing, balancing and reaching higher with each challenge. Encourage them to notice how their bodies move and celebrate each achievement along the way.

Extend the experience further by inviting children to design their own "Higher and Higher" obstacle course for their friends. Encourage them to explain each movement, help one another complete the challenges and create a surprise ending where everyone celebrates together.

Our Kind-e-play friends

Kirrily

What do you notice as you move through the obstacle course?

How does your body feel when you stretch, jump and reach higher?

Elky

Which movement challenge would you like to try next?

How can we work together to create an exciting obstacle course for our friends?

Pikkle

How can we encourage our friends as they complete each challenge?

What thoughtful choices can we make to help everyone feel confident, included and proud of their efforts?
