Fidgety Fish
Written and Illustrated By: Ruth Galloway

Tiddler the little fish is always wriggling, wiggling and fidgeting as he swims through the ocean. Along the way he discovers that being different can become a wonderful strength, especially when friends need help.
Kirrily Koala encourages us to Be Present and Have an Awareness, noticing how Tiddler feels and recognising that everyone has their own special way of moving, learning and exploring the world.
Elky Elephant dives into the adventure, helping us Be Ready and Engage, exploring the colourful sea creatures, joining in the exciting journey and discovering how every challenge can become an opportunity to learn.
Pikkle Panda reminds us to Be Mindful and Thoughtful, encouraging children to celebrate each other's differences, offer help when friends need support and recognise that everyone has unique strengths to share.
Through Tiddler's exciting underwater adventure, children discover that confidence grows when we value ourselves, support others and celebrate the wonderful qualities that make each of us unique—just like the Kind-e-play Friends.
Extend the Learning...
Create an Ocean Adventure Obstacle Course using blue scarves or fabric, stepping stones, tunnels and hoops to represent seaweed, coral reefs and ocean caves.
Invite children to move like different sea creatures wiggling like fish, gliding like stingrays, stretching like octopus tentacles and gently floating like jellyfish.
Extend the experience by encouraging children to work together to rescue a "lost friend," helping each other navigate the underwater course using teamwork, communication and encouragement.
