In Duck in the Truck, children follow Duck as he struggles to get his stuck truck moving, discovering creative solutions along the way.

Kirrily reminds us to Be Present and Have an Awareness, noticing each bump, slip and the feelings of friends who stop by to help.

Elky offers encouragement, showing how to Be Ready and Engage, stepping in to problem-solve, try new ideas, and work together with determination.

Pikkle cheers everyone on, reminding friends to Be Mindful and Thoughtful, thinking carefully about how to move the truck safely and kindly, sharing ideas and helping friends.

Through Duck's sticky, slippery adventure, children learn that moments of teamwork and fun.

Extend the Learning...

Using small world parts, set up a sensory play area for children to explore, problem solving and working together to get their truck or car out of the mud. Include real mud and water play, soft fabrics, string and boxes. Encourage children to set up obstacles and try and work out how to drive their car through, over, under obstacles.

Our Kind-e-play Friends...

Kirrily
Let's be kind by using our eyes, ears and hearts.

Can you watch carefully where your truck or car goes? How are your friends helping?

Elky
Let's be ready to learn.

How will you get your truck or car moving? Can you help a friend's truck or car too?

Pikkle
Let's be thoughtful when we play.

How can we make sure everyone has fun and stays safe? How can we help our friends?
