Extend the Learning...

Create a Busy Train Station using chairs, blocks or cardboard boxes to become platforms, ticket booths and train carriages.

Invite children to take on different roles, including passengers, ticket collectors, train drivers and station helpers, encouraging them to work together as they prepare for each journey.

Extend the experience by making simple tickets, station signs and a timetable, encouraging children to decide where the train will travel while practising listening, communication and imaginative play.
