Create a caterpillar crawl zone where children are encouraged to crawl, wriggle and stretch their way over, under and around each obstacle.
Try adding visual cues, including sequence cards, to help guide children through each obstacle.
Different coloured obstacles throughout the course can be used to represent the different foods that the caterpillar eats throughout the story. For example placing out orange obstacles coincide with the oranges that the caterpillar eats through in the story.
